Counter Strike Global Offensive 2
Counter strike global offensive 2, a major improvement of the game currently available is now available. Valve is bringing the cult FPS to their brand new Source 2 engine.
Touchstone maps have minor lighting and readability changes and Upgraded maps receive completely revamped using Source 2's physically-based rendering.
Several gameplay improvements are also in the works and include sub-tick changes that should reduce the need for tick rates to calculate precise actions.
Gameplay
Counter-Strike Global Offensive is the most recent installment in the cult Counter-Strike series, and has the same gameplay that has defined the genre. It was developed using Valve's Source 2 engine, and features high-resolution textures, real-time lighting and physics. It has also been updated with a variety of new weapons and other gameplay elements.
The game comes with 34 weapons among which 19 are exclusive to the new version. A lot of them are replacements for old weapons, while the rest have been designed with unique roles and features.
Some of the most significant changes are focused on the weapons themselves. For instance the SCAR-L is now replaced with a new gun that has more power and range and the AK-128 has been updated with a new barrel to ensure improved accuracy. Other weapons, such as the M4A1 sniper rifle as well as the M4A1 are also modified.
A number of the maps have been rebuilt to work with CS:GO 2. Overpass was reworked to make use of the brand-new Source 2 Engine, while other maps such as Dust II were carefully updated. Alongside the new maps, the game will feature several other new features. The game's interface has been improved and a brand-new Item Workshop allows players to create their own items.
Another major change is the game's Faction system. In the past, the game allowed players to choose between two factions, Counter-Strike 2 will offer various T and CT models to pick from. The server's architecture has been modified to use sub-ticks updates. This means that servers can evaluate the world at very short intervals, such as when a player moves or fires guns.
Since its launch in 2012, CS:GO has become one of the most played games on Steam with an estimated 11 million gamers playing every month. There is also a strong community of esports players with teams competing in various leagues and tournaments. The Valve-sponsored Major Championships are the most notable, where top teams compete to win large prize pools.
Weapons
Counter-Strike Global Offensive (CS:GO) is a game all about armed combat with a variety of weapons to pick from, players have a variety of options when it comes to choosing their primary weapon. The equipment players use, such as armor, a defuse kit for CTs and grenades for terrorists, also play an important role in the overall strategy of the match.
Each weapon has its own strengths and weaknesses. For instance the AWP is a superb sniper rifle that can kill armoured opponents above the knees with ease however, it has a slow rate of firing and is quite costly. The SCAR-20, meanwhile, has excellent accuracy in the scope, but it also takes ages to reload and can dramatically slow down a player's speed of movement.

The new weapons in CS:GO have some modifications to the way they appear. The HE gun, for instance, now explodes more realistically and the smoke from incendiary grenades or molotov cocktail appears more realistic. This makes it easier for the enemy to track down the player.
The weapons in CS:GO can be purchased at the buy zone located at the spawn point. Players can buy any weapon that they wish to use in the game including knives and pistols. csgo cases can also spend money to upgrade their weapons. A new buy menu has been added in the game, which gives players an easier shopping experience.
A few months after the game's launch, Valve released a few improvements to the gameplay of the game. The most significant changes pertain to the chat system in the game, which has been updated to stop offensive messages and spam. Additionally, the UI for purchasing items has been revamped and now utilizes a grid layout.
The game was also enhanced with the introduction of a brand new anticheat system, which includes spectating as well as an exclusion system. The team that loses the game will be penalized. However, those who commit the crime will be punished. In addition to these changes, Valve has added a few gameplay tweaks to make the game more enjoyable.
Maps
The Counter-Strike series is famous for its maps, and the level of skill required to master the game. Each map is the culmination of years and sometimes decades of dedication. The maps in the reserve and active pools are the most crucial part of the game to understand because they will aid you in understanding the game's mechanics better and provide additional tools to enjoy playing it.
Mirage was released by Valve in 2013 and is a wildly popular CSGO Map within the Active Pool. Mirage is known for its high skill ceilings and an excellent balance between both sides in combat. The map is also a mainstay of most esports events and major championships in CSGO.
Nuke is the most dated defusal map in CSGO and is a staple of both casual and professional playing. The map has undergone a few modifications over the years, but it is still one of most complex tactical maps available in the game. The map's unique layout requires that you think about every angle, and provides more ways to beat your opponent than any other map.
Overpass is a brand new CSGO map that was introduced in the Winter Offensive update in 2013. Since its launch Overpass has grown to be an extremely popular map. It has appeared in several major championships and Esports competitions. The map is tiny but packed with options. From the long outer of A site to the tense corners of B site.
Vertigo has been added to the CSGO Active pool for 2019 and has been awe-inspiring to all who have played it. It has replaced one of the most beloved maps in CSGO, but it has been well received by the players. The map is a bit CT-oriented however this doesn't stop it from being a solid choice in the majority of queues. Another exciting aspect of this map are the canals that flow through it. They are a nice touch to the map and make it stand out from many other CSGO maps that are heavy on long, sloping edges.
Updates
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is still running strong ten years after its launch, but the 2012 first-person shooter that was multiplayer tactical was in need of a major update. Fans had been hoping for a Source 2 beta for CS:GO for a while and Valve confirmed the limited test will begin today. The studio promised that it would be the "largest technological leap for the game" with a complete overhaul of all aspects of the experience.
The most prominent modification to the game is the switch to Source 2, a graphics engine that gives an immersive and realistic visual experience. This includes new lighting and particle systems as well as more concentration on making bullets more readable from farther away. The move to the new engine will mean a revamp of several maps, including revamped versions of Italy and Overpass.
Valve's upgrade is designed to improve the way server architecture and tick rates handle the game's actions. The switch to 128-tick server architecture should improve both the responsiveness and graphical quality of the game. Valve says the change is a "remarkable upgrade" that will make CSGO feel more responsive.
In addition to the visual changes, players can anticipate various game-play enhancements. Smoke grenades, for example will now be volumetric 3D objects in the game world that can be pushed to temporarily alter sightlines. Valve says that the upgrade to the server structure of the game will allow for sub tick updates. This should result in more fluid and precise experience.
The test is only available to select players, based on a variety of factors like play time and Steam account standing. Valve claims that the cosmetics it collects in the current version of CSGO will be transferred to the updated game which is expected to launch this summer. Esports Insider has reached out to BLAST the biggest CS:GO tournament organizer, to see whether they plan to offer an older version of the game to its leagues until the next update is made available.
